Imaging & Analysis Facility Use

In order to become a User of one of the Imaging and Analysis Facility tools you must first be enrolled as a CNS User.

In order to get specific tool training, first go to the CNS Training Sign-Up page.

Please note: If our firewall prompts you for a username and password, email info@cns.fas.harvard.edu for login credentials.

Most of the major instrumentation trainings are done via online sign-up. If you do not see a particular training online, please contact the CNS staff member in charge of that facility/tool and arrange for training or assistance. To determine which staff member you should contact, please consult the Facilities section of the site. If you still cannot determine which staff member you should contact, please email info@cns.fas.harvard.edu.

All Imaging and Analysis facilities/tools are located in rooms that require card reader access. For Harvard Users, the HUID is used as the access card and is automatically updated upon completion of training. Non-Harvard Users must go to the CNS Administrative Office (LISE 304) in order to obtain a CNS Facilities Access Card prior to the training if you have not been issued one previously.  Access cards will only be issued to those who have completed their enrollment in the CNS User Program.

The Imaging Sample Prep. Room, LISE B15A, has a prerequisite of a special safety orientation required in order to obtain training on specific instrumentation within this room.  If you need training on instrumentation in this sample preparation room and you do not see a B15A Safety Training listed on the CNS Training Sign-Up page, simply e-mail info@cns.fas.harvard.edu to request a date and time for this training. Please note: If our firewall prompts you for a username and password, email info@cns.fas.harvard.edu for login credentials.
