Materials Synthesis Facility Use |
| |
In order to become a User of one of the Material Synthesis Facility labs or tools, you must first be enrolled as a CNS/NNIN User.
In order to get specific tool training, first go to the CNS Training Sign-up page. Most of the major instrumentation’s trainings are done via online sign-up. If you do not see a particular training online, please contact the CNS staff member in charge of that facility/tool and arrange for training or assistance. To determine which staff member you should contact, please consult the Facilities section of the site. If you still cannot determine which staff member you should contact, please email nninapply@cns.fas.harvard.edu.
All Material Synthesis facilities/tools are located in rooms that require card reader access. For Harvard Users, the HUID is used as the access card and is automatically updated upon completion of training. Non-Harvard Users must go to the CNS Administrative Office (LISE 306) in order to obtain a swipe card. For non-Harvard Users, a LISE Card Reader Access Form must be turned in to the CNS Administrative Office (LISE 306) order to be issued an access card.
Please see the Forms page of the User Info section of the website for the LISE Card Reader Access Form.
Please read the General User Information and Policy area of the User Info section of the website as it contains additional important information for CNS facility users. |
